The Network

The SuperHomes Network of eco refurbishment, homes, suppliers, trades and individuals keeps on growing.

The SuperHomes Network is open to everyone who has an interest in reduction of carbon emissions in existing homes, alongside improved health and comfort for occupants.

The aim of the Network is to share retrofit knowledge and best practice among its members to provide support through the retrofit journey.

The cost of joining the Network is £50+VAT for individuals. This fee will automatically renew each year after joining (until cancelled).

Our networking events are an opportunity to learn more about home retrofit and develop your understanding of what’s available.  Some of our events are member-only while others are open to the public with a charge. To take advantage of our complete offering, become a member of the SuperHomes Network.

How does the SuperHomes Network fit in with our SuperHomes Rating Scheme?

Membership of the Network is required for any individual or landlord that would like to have a SuperHome assessment done or have one or more properties evaluated as achieving one of the performance tiers set out in the SuperHomes Rating Scheme.

However, it is not necessary to be in the process of retrofitting your home or more domestic properties to join the SuperHomes Network.

The Network is open to anyone that has an interest in domestic retrofit.

The SuperHomes Network is for individuals and organisations who have an interest in domestic retrofit, whether they own one or several properties. The Network is also for those supporting those planning a domestic retrofit, to include advisors (such as Retrofit Coordinators and Designers) and installers of measures (like cavity and solid wall insulation) and renewal energy systems (such as heat pumps). The Network is also for manufacturers of retrofit products, companies that facilitate monitoring of energy performance (including the supply of monitoring companies), community groups and those providing advice in the retrofit sector.

The SuperHomes Network was launched in April 2021, although SuperHomes as a project has been running since 2007, with a network of pioneering home owners who retrofitted their homes to achieve at least a 60% carbon savings and opened their homes to the public once a year.

The Network is run by the National Energy Foundation (NEF)

Our individual members include many of our original SuperHomers (now referred to as Pioneer SuperHomers), members of the community groups we are working with and individual homeowners across the country that NEF is supporting from the start of their retrofit journey.

L. Retrofit is Leanne Madden’s own company that carries out home energy assessments to produce EPCs and Whole House Retrofit Plans for homeowners in Essex and other areas in the South-East.

 

Leanne is a qualified Retrofit Consultant with 15+years experience within Architecture and Project Management, with the aim of offering a full service which doesn’t end at production of the WHRP.

The A Proctor Group Ltd

The A Proctor Group’s goal is growth and profit, through continuous improvement and development of their service and product range.

The organisation provides a wide range of quality, innovative solutions which are designed to meet the continuously evolving requirements of the construction industry.

South East Consortium

South East Consortium (SEC) is a central purchasing body. They are a not for profit organisation providing services relating to public procurement.

SEC was established in 2005 and were specifically created to support the housing sector. SEC create intelligent frameworks for the sector to use and provide customers with solutions pre, during and post procurement process.

AAIRS Ltd

AAIRS Ltd are a family run business based in Titchfield Common near Fareham in Hampshire that provide the following services:

Thermal imaging (buildings, electrical & mechanical), Part L1a air pressure testing, ventilation testing, heat loss/air leakage assessment and internal environment (condensation/mould and over heating) survey and assessments.

Fareham Borough Council

Fareham Borough Council works hard to improve the quality of life for its residents and have completed numerous ambitious projects in recent years, one of which includes a new Passivhaus (sustainable) housing scheme.

Southampton City Council

Southampton City Council is the landlord for 18,000 homes and works to regenerate the city’s housing estates to provide more homes and improve the environment.

T2 Architects

T2 Architects is an award winning, design led architectural practice based in Winchester, who specialise in sustainable housing design and are Passivhaus Designers.

Exeo Energy Ltd

Exeo Energy Ltd is an Oxford based solar panel installer and renewable energy specialist who design and install high-quality solar panel systems for homeowners and commercial clients in the Oxfordshire and other surrounding counties.

Abri

Abri are one of the largest housing associations in the south of England and build, own, look after and sell homes that people can afford. Their central mission is to create thriving communities and empower lives, and one of the ways they are doing this is by building at least 12,500 new homes by 2030 and also to decarbonise the existing homes they own.

Abri are also note for profit, so any money made is reinvested back into building more homes and helping the communities they serve.

Ambue help registered Social Landlords tackle the climate emergency with a PAS 2035 compliant retrofit pathway. Their organisation quickly and efficiently maps housing stock and provides a step by step roadmap towards an upgraded, greener housing portfolio.

Ambue’s mapping process provides a cost/benefit analysis for each property to improve EPC ratings and SAP scores.

BCP Council

BCP Council is responsible for all local government services in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and provide services to around 400,000 residents.

BCP Council wants the region to be one of the best coastal places in the world to live, work, invest and play and being one of the UK’s newest local authorities, it has an ambitious strategy to achieve this.

Norley Energy Services is an independent Retrofit Coordinator organisation based in Devon. Alex Slattery who owns the company, has over 30 years’ experience in the renovation and repair of domestic properties and worked 14 years in the social housing sector.

Oxford City Council

Oxford has one of the fastest growing economies of all UK cities and so the Council’s key ambition is to make the city world class for all its citizens. It aims to achieve this with five priorities, one of which is to meet housing needs.

Oxford City Council has a social housing stock of 7,800, with this number set to increase by more than 1,100 over the next 10 years. It aims to work with landlords and housing associations to deliver more affordable housing in Oxford.

Parity Projects

Parity Projects uses data science, software and analysis to help its clients deliver energy efficiency efficiently, and effectively. They work with local authorities, energy service companies and landlords of every size to develop cost-effective retrofit programmes that meet their cost, comfort and carbon goals.

Their mission is to provide the most cost-effective route to Net Zero for the UK’s homes.

Raven Housing Trust

Raven Housing Trust is a social business based in Redhill, Surrey which owns or manages more than 7,000 homes. They are committed to investing in homes and neighbourhoods to develop local communities where people want to live. The majority of Raven’s homes are Reigate and Banstead but they are increasingly working in surrounding areas.

The majority of Raven’s customers rent their homes from us, however they also have customers who either own the lease to their homes or own their homes on a part-rent/part-buy basis. Raven provide several sheltered housing schemes and also manage several youth centres in the area.

Resolution Energy

Resolution Energy provide energy and water assessments to ensure that development projects comply with Building Regulations and they specialise in energy performance and sustainability analysis for the housing sector. The organisation provides advice and guidance on energy and sustainability solutions for both new build and existing housing.

Clients include Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Architects, Developers, Contractors and self-builders. Resolution Energy is based in Waterlooville and covers the surrounding areas, including Dorset, Surrey and West Sussex.

Rounded Developments Enterprise

Rounded Developments Enterprise is a not for profit organisation that aims to champion sustainable building in Wales. This is achieved by training and education services, a shop (the Eco Home Centre), an E-shop and also by project development.

RDE’s projects to date include: research and development for local community centres; production of local listings for sustainable building professionals; CPD courses; training in natural building techniques; ecological foot printing tools for housing associations.

Sustainable Development Foundation

The Sustainable Development Foundation (SDF) is a non-profit organisation that works to deliver a radical step-change in sustainability performance for the UK built environment.

Collectively they take a holistic view of sustainability, aiming to create healthy, environmentally sound and productive buildings that support sustainable lifestyles and communities.

VIVID Homes

VIVID Homes are a housing association and a leading provider of affordable homes and housing related services. VIVID provide services and support to 72,000 customers in the South and have over 32,000 homes across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and West Sussex.

The organisation has an ambitious target to build 17,000 homes by 2030.

Winchester City Council

Winchester City Council serves a population of around 117,700 residents and has a strategy to focus on five key outcomes to improve life for these residents. The Council are responsible for managing a range of services from planning and housing to tourism and benefits administration.

A key responsibility for the housing service is to ensure residents live in comfortable homes and are able to apply for home improvements and grants.
